Shepparton Line Upgrade
The Victorian Government is funding $43.5 million to upgrade the Shepparton rail line, with rail infrastructure works between Shepparton and Seymour to benefit the wider Goulburn Valley Community.
The Victorian Budget 2017/18 has allocated significant funding to provide new train stabling and a crossing loop to cater for potential additional train services from 2020.
Whilst these works are under way, an additional coach service will operate in the evening between Seymour and Shepparton.
In addition, two daily coach services (a return service) will be introduced so that Shepparton passengers have more options to get to and from Melbourne by connecting to more frequent train services at Seymour. Community consultation will take place later this year to determine the best timing for these additional coach services.
